Now Axis-signed LIVE

Everstra Live is now digitally signed and countersigned by Axis Communications — verified by the camera before it runs, and installable even where unsigned apps are refused.

Getting started

Everstra Live — getting started video

License activation

After installing the application, open its settings page on the camera and go to the License tab. Licence keys are issued free of charge.

Each product requires its own licence key. A licence for Everstra Live does not activate Everstra Overlay, and vice versa. The premium modules AIS Ship Tracker and Water Levels are activated the same way, each on its own page in Everstra Overlay.

Staying up to date: in the same tab you can switch on update notifications — opt-in, off by default. Once a day the camera fetches a small file with the newest version number; nothing about the camera is sent. When a newer version or a security fix is available, every page of the app shows a notice with a Download button. Updating keeps your configuration.

Third-party notices & source code

Everstra bundles open-source components including FFmpeg, GnuTLS, Skia and others. See the full Third-Party Notices for details.

In compliance with the LGPL, the corresponding source code for all LGPL components used in Everstra Live — together with the build configuration (Dockerfile) — is available for download: Source code archive.
